Waterford Airport Host Successful Chamber Business After Hours Event

A large group attended the recent Waterford Chamber Business Afterhours event at Waterford Airport. The event was hosted to highlight the recently launched London Southend route which offers excellent access to central London and unrivalled convenience for business and leisure passengers. Greeting local business people on arrival was CEO of Waterford Airport Graham Doyle, CEO of Aer Arann Paul Schutz and Jonny Rayner, Marketing Manager at London Southend Airport.

The London Southend route offers each way morning and evening flights every day, day return to and from London for the business traveler remain a great option. The new link to the east of London is a great new gateway for UK visitors to the South East of Ireland and offers a wonderful new opportunity for tourism in the South East.

Graham Doyle CEO at Waterford Airport formally welcomed everyone and explained how Waterford Airport is a critical and integral part of the Southeast Business community and how it offers a broad spectrum of service to both business and tourism investment.

Paul Schutz thanked everyone for their attendance and offered everyone present a free return flight to the newly launched route from Waterford Airport to London Southend. The new route operates in addition to Aer Arann’s very successful Waterford to London-Luton services under a revised schedule.

Jonny Rayner, Business Development Manager at London Southend Airport expressed his delight with the recent connection between the two airports and highlighted the inbound and outbound tourism and business opportunities between the two locations.
